Commonwealth Scholarships 2025 for Master’s & PhD – HEC Pakistan

Eligibility Criteria for Pakistani Students

To apply, candidates must meet both HEC Pakistan and CSC UK requirements:

HEC Pakistan Requirements

• Must be a Pakistani/AJK citizen and permanent resident.
• For Master’s: At least 16 years of education (Bachelor’s/Master’s) in a relevant field with first division.
• For PhD: At least 17/18 years of education (MS/MPhil) with first division.
• Must score minimum 60/100 in the HAT test (General Category).
• Candidates awaiting results are also eligible to apply.

CSC UK Requirements

• Must demonstrate financial need (cannot afford UK education without the scholarship).
• Must be ready to start studies in the UK by September of the given year.
• Master’s applicants should not already hold a UK Master’s degree.
• PhD applicants must provide a research proposal and a statement from a UK supervisor.
• Must submit two references and complete transcripts.

Scholarship Benefits

The Commonwealth Scholarship is fully funded, covering:

• Full tuition fees at UK universities.
• Airfare to and from the UK.
• Monthly living allowance (stipend for accommodation, food, and daily expenses).
• Warm clothing allowance (if needed).
