Excellence Scholarships Are Open For International Students At Leiden University Netherland

The Leiden University announced 50-60 scholarships for international students each year, who have graduated from their home country and want to pursue their master’s degree from Netherland on scholarship. It is a merit based scholarship that is provided to non-European brilliant students. Study at Leiden University put a strong foundation for the career of Pakistani students.  

Leiden University has 50 departments and 40 research areas. Students selected under this program get a chance to explore their research ideas.

Programs Offered At Leiden University For Scholarships

Students can take admission in courses offered by the following departments at University of Leiden

• Archaeology

• International Institute for Asian Studies

• Humanities

• African Studies Centre

• Medicine

• Governance and Global Affairs

• Law

• Science

• Social and Behavioral Science

Benefits Of Excellence Scholarships

• Students can apply for more than one field of study for post graduate studies

• Schlolarship will cover tuition fee of the selected candidate 

Eligibility Criteria For Excellence Scholarship Application

Applicants who want to pursue master’s degree from Netherland have to fulfill the following criteria

• Applicant must have non- European passport

• Must have a strong academic background (top 10 students in each field will be consider for scholarship)

• If applicant have already received a degree from Leiden University then he/ she is not eligible to submit application

• Students who already receiving a scholarship from Netherland cannot apply for Leiden University excellence scholarship program

• Applicant must be proficient in English language

Documents Required For Submission Of Application

Applicant have to submit the following documents for Leiden University Excellence scholarships

• Leiden university application form

• A scanned copy of passport

• Educational transcripts

• Undergraduate degree must be in the same field for which applicant is applying for scholarship

• Letter of motivation (500 words explaining why you want to be consider for scholarship)

• Reference letter

• CV

• IELTS test scores transcript

Application Procedure For Leiden University Excellence Scholarship

Submit an online pre-application form to the university

After that university will invite you to submit an online application  

Fill the application form carefully by uploading all the required documents mentioned above

Under scholarship section student need to mention that they want to be considered for excellence scholarship

Selected candidates will be informed by end of November for next year February intake

Deadline to Apply For Leiden University Excellence Scholarship

There are two intakes at Leiden University

• 1^st April for programs starting in September

• 15th October for programs starting in February
