The United States Educational Foundation in Pakistan (USEFP) is inviting English teachers from the colleges and universities of Pakistan to apply for the Fulbright Foreign Language Teaching Assistant (FLTA) Program 2024. Pakistani English teachers will be able teach their native language (Urdu or Pashto) to the U.S candidates in the selected U.S colleges or universities in 2024. It is a fully-funded 9 months long non-degree program in which English teachers from Pakistan will be able to increase their English language proficiency, refine their teaching skills and also extend their U.S cultural and society knowledge while assisting their native language to the U.S students.

USEFP will also pay for the TOEFL exam of the selected candidates.
During the time of FLTA Program, English teachers from Pakistan will be able to improve their teaching skills, improve their English language proficiency and expand their knowledge of American culture and society while assisting students in their native language in the United States. Participants in the Fulbright FLTA are required to enroll in at least two classes per semester, one of which must be US Studies, and may assist in up to 20 hours of language classes per week. Their futures as English language teachers should be the focus of the remaining coursework.

TOEFL is not required at applying stage, only selected candidates will be asked to take a TOEFL test and USEFP will cover the cost.
Additional documents like medical history & examination form and "No Objection Certificate" (NOC) from the government of Pakistan are required if a candidate gets selected.

Minimum 16 years of formal education (4 year bachelors or a combination of bachelor’s and master’s degree).
Be a Pakistani teacher of the English at the college or university level.
Prior teaching experience is preferred (1 to 8 years of experience).
Women, candidates with disabilities and candidates from AJK, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Balochistan, Gilgit Baltistan, Southern Punjab and Northern Sindh are encouraged to apply.
After completing the program, Fulbright FLTA participants are required to immediately return to their home country.
Candidates with a dual U.S and Pakistan nationality or those having their spouse, parent, fiancé or child over 18 years in U.S with permanent citizenship cannot apply.
Employees of the Fulbright organization, employees of the U.S Department of State or USAID and their spouses, children, fiancés, siblings, dependents and parents are ineligible to apply.
Alumni of Fulbright and Humphrey programs cannot apply.
Candidates already enrolled in the United States College or university or individuals on a work/resident visa in any country cannot apply.

After login provide fill out the FLTA program 2024 application and provide all the personal details and scanned copies of documents

A teacher or someone who has supervised the applicant at work, in athletics, or in any other relevant activity must fill out this letter of reference
You can save your application in account if you don’t want to submit it right away
After completing your application click on the “Submit” button and you will receive a confirmation mail that your application has been received by the USEFP
The total duration of Fulbright FLTA program 2024 is 9 months.
Fulbright FLTA grant will cover your tuition fee, airfare, health Insurance, books cost and will provide a monthly stipend till.
The Fulbright FLTA Program 2024 will start from the fall 2024.
You can't defer it till next program, if you get selected the FLTA program cannot be delayed.
