Eligibility Criteria for Pakistani Students

Pakistani and AJK nationals are eligible to apply if they meet the following requirements:

• Must be enrolled full-time in a PhD program at a recognized university in Pakistan.
• Completed at least 18 credit hours of coursework.
• Should be between 18 months to 3 years into their PhD studies.
• Must have an approved synopsis and research topic by BASR/DASR or relevant authority.
• Provide a letter of acceptance from a foreign supervisor/university ranked among the top 200 universities (QS/Times Higher Education).
• The foreign supervisor must not have any prior collaboration with the applicant’s local supervisor.
• If already funded by HEC, a No Objection Certificate (NOC) must be submitted.
