Japan Announces Scholarship Award for Pakistani Students

The Pakistani students who are going to Japan for getting higher education from various Japanese Universities are awarded with the scholarship program by Japan. For this purpose Japan has organized a pre departure orientation which revealed 15 Pakistani are going to take scholarship award from Japan. The scholarship programs offered by Japan are fully funded and these are offered by the Government of Japan.

Under the following Scholarships Programs the Pakistani students have been awarded by Japan:

  • MEXT (Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology)
  • Research Scholarship 2018 (2-5 years, until their Research is complete)
  • MEXT Teachers Training Scholarship Program (18 months duration)
  • Young Leaders’ Program (1year duration)

The authority has also revealed that which program awarded how many students. According to this result for Teachers Training Program (TTP), 1 teacher (female) has been awarded, in Young Leaders Program (YLP) 3 government officials have been selected. MEXT Research Scholarship Program under the instructions by public sector universities in Japan announced scholarship program for 18 students throughout the Pakistan. It is happily announced that in the month March of this year there were 11 students selected by MEXT research scholarship program 2018 and those have been joined their specific universities and are learning.

It is seen that the Japanese Embassy every year selects Pakistani candidates under Japanese MEXT research scholarship program for Masters and PhD study program at the most prestigious Japanese Public Sector Universities.

On the event of pre departure orientation that held at Japanese Embassy for the selected or awardees students DR. Yasar Ayaz came to share his experience about studying and living in Japan. Dr. Yasar Ayaz is the Alumni of a Japanese University. Because of his good knowledge and experience he is presently head of Robotics Department at NUST. 

Moreover, the ambassador of Pakistan to Japan Mr. Takashi Kurai were also invited in the orientation ceremony of the selected student. Takashi Kurai congratulated the new awarded students and he also uttered his hopes to them for their better future and career. Ambassador added the words into his speech that the awardees students will show their knowledge and experience, collected from Japan, for the progress and development of Pakistan due to which they lead a better friendship between Pakistan and Japan.
