Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for the METI Internship Program, candidates must:
- Nationality: People living in OECD/DAC countries, but not including China.
- Age: Must be between 18 and 40 years old as of August 1, 2025.
- Educational Background: Undergraduate or graduate students, or recent grads in AI or tech-related professions.
- Language competency: Demonstrate competency in English or Japanese.
- Previous Participation: Did not participate in this program between FY2016 and FY2023.
- Documentation: Provide the appropriate documentation, such as certificates of enrollment or graduation and letters of recommendation.
Financial Support
The METI Internship Program is fully supported and offers the following benefits:
- Pre-training: Orientation encompassing corporate overview, internship process, and employment eligibility in Japan
- Visa Assistance: Help in getting a visa to enter Japan.
- Travel: round-trip economy class plane tickets.
- Accommodation: They set up a place to stay for the whole time of the internship.
- Allowance: 3,000 yen per day.
- Provide required equipment, such as personal computers.
