
The University of Bonn will start accepting applications for the Bonn International Fellowships 2026 in May 2025. This program is fully funded and gives international researchers a chance to connect with the academic community in Bonn for short visits.
About the Bonn International Fellowships
The Bonn International Fellowships are intended to bring outstanding researchers from many fields to the University of Bonn for brief visits of up to 12 days. The program's goal is to encourage international collaboration, enrich academic life at the university, and establish the framework for future joint projects.

Fellowship Benefits
The selected fellows will get comprehensive support, including:
- Travel Allowance: Covers round-trip travel expenditures, which vary by place of origin.
- Daily stipend: €160 each day for up to 12 days, including arrival and departure dates.
- Event Support: Up to €500 for organizing academic events such as lectures or workshops during your stay.
Eligibility Criteria
To qualify for the fellowship, you need to:
- Be a post-doc or an experienced professor known in your field.
- Be connected to a university or research institute that’s not in Germany.
- Receive an invitation from a researcher at the University of Bonn.
