This high-profile conference brings together policymakers, civil society actors, journalists, academics, and young people from around the world to discuss and exchange creative ideas for promoting democracy.
The 2025 Forum is scheduled for November 5-7, 2025, in Strasbourg, France. The theme is:
"Democracy at Risk: How Can We Revive It?"
This episode will focus on the erosion of public trust, digital misinformation, polarization, and the important role of young in fostering resilient democracies.

Youth Delegation – A Global Call
The Council of Europe invites up to 50 young changemakers from around the world to join the official Youth Delegation. This is a fully financed opportunity that aims to ensure meaningful young engagement in high-level democratic discussions.
Eligibility Criteria
To apply, you must:
- At the time of the forum, they ranged in age from 18 to 30 years.
- Can converse fluently in English (the event's working language).
- Are actively involved in youth work, civic activism, democratic innovation, or other related disciplines.
- Are you available to come to Strasbourg and participate in all activities from November 2 to 8, 2025.
- Are willing to share their experiences and contribute to a diverse multinational team.
Delegate Responsibilities
As a chosen young delegate, your tasks will be:
- Participating in interactive workshops, debates, and plenary discussions.
- Sharing personal experiences, ideas, and viewpoints on how to revitalize democracy.
- Collaboration with policymakers, activists, and global youth.
- Assisting in shaping the forum's youth-led contributions and suggestions.
What Does the Scholarship Cover?
The Council of Europe is offering a fully funded chance for participation. Selected youth delegates will get:
- Round-trip travel expenses (including visa fees as applicable)
- Accommodation and food in Strasbourg.
- Participate in a two-day pre-forum training at the European Youth Centre.
- Participate in all forum events, networking sessions, and side activities.
