Applications Are Open For Fully Funded Commonwealth Distance Learning Master’s Scholarship 2023-2024

The Commonwealth Distance Learning Master’s Scholarship 2023 is an excellent opportunity for Pakistani students to undertake a part-time Master’s taught program and study with top UK universities while remaining in Pakistan. Commonwealth Scholarships Commission is accepting Commonwealth Distance Learning Master’s Scholarship applications for the year 2023 -2024. This scholarship program is specially designed for the candidates who are unable to study in the United Kingdom due to financial or other constraints. This distance learning scholarship will allow individuals to receive the same knowledge and skills as physical classes.

Commonwealth Distance Learning Scholarship Eligibility Criteria

  • Candidates must be a citizen or refugees or permanent residents from the eligible commonwealth countries or must be British-protected individuals.

  • Candidates must possess the first degree of at least upper second-class standard means at least 60% to 69% marks or Grade B in bachelors program.

  • Candidates who cannot afford to study in the UK otherwise are eligible.

  • Candidates are required to obtain reference letters from at least 2 referees on institution’s letterhead or via email with the sender's information.

  • Candidates must hold an offer letter from the UK universities to apply for the scholarship.

Documents Required for Commonwealth Distance Learning Scholarship

  • A valid passport or national identity card with clearly visible photograph.

  • Previous higher education academic transcripts (translated to English if are in any other language).

  • Include up to 10 publications and prizes

  • Minimum of two references on institutional letterhead or reference emails clearly showing the sender details.

  • Detailed letter of the candidate's employment history, explaining how each job is relevant to the candidate's chosen program.

  • A statement about how candidate’s prior employment experiences relate to the proposed scholarship

  • A Development Impact Statement.

  • Candidates should upload the admission letters they got from any UK university to their application

  • Reference Letters and Referees: A referee is someone who is willing to write testimony about a person's character or abilities, especially for an applicant for a scholarship or university. Candidates for the Commonwealth Distance Learning Master's Scholarship are required to provide the names and designations of two referees who will explain that how the proposed scholarship will help out the candidate and candidate’s capacity to influence his or her home country's future development. If applicable one of the referees can be your current employer. 

Commonwealth Distance Learning Scholarship Application Process

  • Candidates can apply online for the commonwealth Distance Learning Master’s Scholarship through Commonwealth scholarship’s registration page.

  • If you don’t already have a Commonwealth Scholarships Commission account, you should create one by clicking the “New User” link.

  • Set up a new account by providing your email and choosing a password.

  • After that start filling out the commonwealth Distance Learning Master’s Scholarship application.

  • Provide all the accurate information and upload the requested documents along with reference letters and Development Impact Statement.

  • Candidates are advised to complete and submit their Commonwealth Distance Learning Master’s Scholarship application way before the deadline (28th March 2023).

  • Candidates can apply for more than one course and to more than one university. However, they may only accept one Commonwealth Distance Learning Scholarship offer.

  • The CSC will not consider applications that are not submitted through the CSC's online application system.

CSC’s Selection Process

  • Commonwealth Distance Learning Scholarship applications will be shared with UK universities, who will nominate their chosen candidates in May 2023

  • Universities will inform candidates if they have successfully been awarded a Commonwealth Distance Learning Scholarship in July 2023

Selection criteria will be based on:

  • The candidate's academic merit.

  • The potential impact of the work on the candidate's home country's development.
