Eligibility Criteria
To get the ISM scholarships, you need to meet these requirements:
- Good Grades: You should have at least a 1.7 GPA on the German scale or something similar.
- Admission: You need to be accepted into an ISM degree program.
- Entrance Test: You might have to pass the ISM admission test, if there's one for your program.
- Motivation Letter: Write a strong motivation letter explaining why you want the scholarship.
- Financial Need: This is especially important for full scholarships.
- Extracurricular Activities: Show some leadership or volunteer experience, or be involved in student groups.
Scholarship Types Available in 2025
ISM has two main types of scholarships for students who qualify:

University of Bonn International Fellowship 2026
The Bonn International Fellowships invite excellent researchers from all disciplines to the University of Bonn for short stays (up to 12 days). Researchers from any field can apply.
Criteria:
The fellowship is open to Post-doctoral scholars and experienced faculty who teach or do research at a university or research institute.
Must have a Strong international reputation in their field of research.
Researchers must be invited by a host from the University of Bonn.


The objective of the Einstein Fellowship Program is to invite interested candidates to conduct research in a field different from their previous research. Fellows will stay in Garden Cottage of Einstein’s summerhouse in Caputh, Brandenburg. IELTS and TOEFL are not required. Objectives of the Roche Program
The Roche Scholarship is specifically for NHS young leaders who have shown a strong commitment to developing and implementing sustainable healthcare innovations. Examples may include:
Tackling the causes and effects of health inequalities.
Creating or implementing innovative methods of treatment or diagnosis to enhance the patient care pathway.
Reducing emissions or burdens on natural resources, such as through decarbonizing healthcare supply chains.


The scholarship holders receive a place at the Freie Universität Berlin, Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin, Berlin School of Economics and Law (HWR Berlin), or University of Potsdam. The study programme is limited to only 1 semester. An internship is an important part of the IES programme and is designed to provide international work experience and to develop personal and professional skills.
Programme Description
The International Excellence Scholarship Programme (IES) is a scholarship programme that enables ambitious students of all fields of study from Eastern and Southeastern Europe, the Caucasus and Central Asia with above-average grades to spend a semester abroad in Berlin.


Criteria
Financial statement of being able to bear the cost of living in UK and remaining tuition fee.
The Pakistani students must be at least provisionally admitted to any of the universities mentioned above at the time of application.
The Pakistani students must not have previously pursued the undergraduate course from Scotland.
The Pakistani students must have fulfilled the English language requirements of the course.
The Pakistani students needs to be the first time applicant.
The Pakistani students must be enrolled in a full time postgraduate course.
