About the Scholarship

The Lester B. Pearson International Scholarship is intended to award international students who have displayed outstanding academic achievement and creativity, as well as acknowledged leadership in their school and society. The fellowship is named after Lester Bowles Pearson, a Canadian Nobel Peace Prize winner and former Prime Minister.
Every year, roughly 37 students from throughout the world are chosen to win this distinguished honor. The program not only funds their studies, but also connects them to a global community of changemakers.

Eligibility Criteria

To apply for the scholarship, you must:

• Be an international student (non-Canadians need a study permit).
• Be in your final year of high school or have graduated no earlier than June 2025.
• Be recommended by your current school (each school may nominate one kid every year).
• Plan to begin your undergraduate studies at the University of Toronto in September 2026.
• Apply to the University of Toronto as your first option.

Scholarship Benefits

The Lester B. Pearson Scholarship is a fully funded program that covers:
